As a Christian family with over 40 years of experience, we approach every situation with prayer, compassion, and a commitment to doing what is right. Our refund and return policy reflects our dedication to both our puppies’ well-being and our customers’ peace of mind.

This policy outlines the conditions under which returns or refunds may be granted, always prioritizing the health and safety of our puppies above all else. Please read this policy carefully along with our Health Guarantee and Purchase Contract.

The 72-Hour Health Guarantee

Your Health Protection Window

Every puppy comes with our comprehensive 72-hour health guarantee:

  • You have 72 hours from the time of receiving your puppy to have them examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice
  • If a life-threatening congenital or hereditary condition is discovered during this examination, you may be eligible for a return and refund
  • The condition must be verified in writing by your veterinarian
  • You must contact us immediately upon discovery of any health concern
  • We will work with you and your veterinarian to understand the situation
  • Our primary concern is always the puppy’s health and well-being

Contract Requirement

All returns and refunds are governed by our legally binding sales contract, which you sign before adoption. This contract clearly outlines:

  • Specific conditions that qualify for return
  • The 72-hour examination requirement
  • Documentation needed from your veterinarian
  • The return process and timeline
  • Refund calculation methods
  • Your responsibilities during the return process

Return Process

If you believe you have a qualifying situation, follow these steps:

Immediate Veterinary Examination
Within 72 hours of receiving your puppy, take them to a licensed veterinarian for a comprehensive health examination. This examination must be documented in writing.

Contact Our Family Immediately
Call or email us as soon as a concerning condition is discovered. We need to be informed within the 72-hour window to proceed with any potential return.

Provide Documentation
Submit the written veterinary diagnosis, including the specific condition, its life-threatening nature, and the veterinarian’s contact information for verification.

Review and Verification
Our veterinarian will review the documentation and may contact your veterinarian for additional information. We aim to complete this review within 48 hours.

Return Arrangement
If the condition qualifies under our contract, we will arrange for the puppy’s safe return to our care. We coordinate all return shipping at our expense.

Refund Processing
Once the puppy is safely back in our care, we will process your refund according to the terms outlined below. Refunds typically take 7-10 business days.

Refund Calculations

What Is Refundable

If your situation qualifies for a refund under our contract terms:

  • Full Puppy Price Refund: $650-$800 (depending on your puppy’s price)
  • Deposit Applied: Your $300-$350 deposit is included in the puppy price refund
  • Shipping Not Refundable: Shipping costs ($65-$110) are not refundable as these are actual costs incurred for transportation
  • Veterinary Expenses: We may reimburse reasonable veterinary examination costs related to the qualifying condition, up to $100
  • Total Refund Example: If you paid $750 for puppy + $85 shipping = $835 total, you would receive $750 back (puppy price only)

Non-Refundable Items

Please understand these important limitations:

  • Shipping Costs: All shipping and delivery charges are non-refundable
  • Deposit (if no qualifying condition): Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to another available puppy
  • Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds for changes of heart or personal circumstances
  • Allergy Situations: Allergies or family situations that prevent keeping the puppy are not qualifying conditions
  • Behavioral Issues: Normal puppy behavior or training challenges do not qualify for return
  • Beyond 72 Hours: Conditions discovered after the 72-hour window do not qualify for return under this policy

Deposit Policy

Understanding Your Deposit

Your $300-$350 deposit serves important purposes:

  • Reservation: Secures your chosen puppy while we prepare paperwork
  • Commitment: Demonstrates serious intent to adopt
  • Non-Refundable: Deposits are generally non-refundable once placed
  • Transferable: If you cannot proceed with your chosen puppy, your deposit can be transferred to another available puppy within 6 months
  • Applied to Total: Your deposit is applied toward the total puppy price
  • Contract Protection: The deposit is part of our legally binding sales contract

We pray carefully about each adoption and ask families to do the same. The deposit represents a mutual commitment to the adoption process and the puppy’s well-being.

Alternative to Refund

In some qualifying situations, families may prefer a replacement puppy instead of a refund:

  • Available Option: When a life-threatening condition is verified, you may choose a replacement puppy instead of a refund
  • Similar Puppy: We will help you select a similar puppy from available litters
  • No Additional Cost: There is no additional charge for the replacement puppy
  • Shipping Included: We cover all shipping costs for the replacement puppy
  • New Contract: A new sales contract will be signed for the replacement puppy
  • Health Guarantee: The replacement puppy comes with the same health guarantee

This option allows us to maintain our relationship while ensuring you still welcome a healthy puppy into your family.

What Voids the Guarantee

Conditions That Void Our Guarantee

Our health guarantee and return policy are void under these circumstances:

  • Improper Care: Neglect, abuse, or failure to provide proper veterinary care
  • Unauthorized Procedures: Surgical procedures performed without our prior consent
  • Breeding: Using the puppy for breeding purposes without our written permission
  • Transfer of Ownership: Selling, gifting, or transferring the puppy to another party
  • Failure to Vaccinate: Not following recommended vaccination schedules
  • Environmental Hazards: Exposure to dangerous situations or substances
  • Lack of Documentation: Inability to provide veterinary records when requested
  • Contract Violation: Any violation of our sales contract terms

  • 24/7 Advice: We provide ongoing support for health and behavioral questions
  • Veterinary Consultation: Assistance finding reputable veterinarians in your area
  • Training Guidance: Recommendations for training and socialization
  • Nutritional Advice: Guidance on proper nutrition throughout your puppy’s life
  • Community Connection: Introduction to other families who have adopted from us
  • Prayer Support: We pray for every puppy and family in our extended community

1-Year Congenital Condition Coverage

Separate from the 72-hour return policy, our health guarantee includes 1-year coverage for congenital conditions:

  • Coverage for life-threatening congenital conditions discovered within 1 year of adoption
  • Documentation required from a licensed veterinarian
  • We cover veterinary costs up to the purchase price of the puppy
  • Option for puppy replacement if the condition is untreatable
  • This coverage is separate from and in addition to the 72-hour return policy
